My Story

Hello! I’m Sydney, the human behind Pebbled Quilts. I started quilting in 2021 by signing up for a mystery quilt challenge. Every month I would receive a new block pattern and I would learn the necessary techniques. By the end of the year, I had completed my first quilt top and I asked myself “What’s next?”. I decided I wanted to quilt it myself and I learned about longarm quilting.

I acquired my longarm machine (an Innova 26″ Classic with Mach 3 AutoPilot) in 2023 and launched my business in 2024. I work out of my home studio in San Jose, CA. Check out My Work to see examples of my quilting! I am excited to quilt for others and help their (quilting) dreams become reality.

About Pebbled Quilts

The name of my business is inspired by my love of curling – the Winter Olympic sport with the rocks and the sweeping. “Pebbled” refers to the texture of the ice used for curling. While it may look flat from a distance, the ice is actually covered in tiny water droplets that create a texture similar to the crinkly texture of a quilt after it has come out of the wash. The quilt I’m holding in the photo below is my design, the Curling House Quilt.
